Plot introduction of the Grave of the Fireflies
When the war broke out between the United States and Japan, 14-year-old Seita fled everywhere with her young sister, and when they arrived at the bomb shelter, her mother was seriously injured and soon died. The two siblings have lived together ever since.
They had to take refuge in their mother’s sisters, even though they gave all the household goods to their aunt, but when the food ran out, the more they felt the feeling of dependence, Seita decided to take her sister to leave and live alone. Life in the smoke of the fire is not easy, Seita steals food for her sister, but her sister is still severely malnourished.
