Plot introduction of Hachiko Monogatari
In 1923, heavy snow fell in Odate City, Akita Prefecture, Japan. Kondo’s purebred Akita dog gave birth and gave it to Manase, head of the civil engineering Department of the prefecture. The latter transfers one of the dogs to Hidejiro Ueno (Tatsuya Nakadai), a professor at Tokyo Imperial University. Ueno’s only daughter, Chizhiko, rejoiced, while the Ueno couple looked troubled. Later, Chihecko (Mako Ishino is acted the role of) fell in love, was pregnant with her boyfriend’s child.
Her boyfriend came to visit her. Ueno talk with it, the latter apprehensively, frankly to be responsible for his daughter, without delay, the wedding will be held today, Ueno hear this, turn anger to joy. After Chikuko married, Ueno immediately put all the effort and love are betting on the puppy, and named A eight.
