Synopsis of the Martian
Manned space spacecraft Ares 3 successfully arrived at Mars, who knows a destructive extremely huge storm to the astronauts, Ares 3 was forced to interrupt the mission, emergency return. On the way out, astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is hit by a part blown off the spacecraft, and with little hope of survival, his teammates have to hurry back and announce to the world that he has been killed. Unexpectedly, Mark survived with a very low probability. He took refuge in a space base on Mars to heal. The next mission to Mars isn’t for another four years, and the base only has enough supplies to last him 31 days. After a brief period of despair, Mark decides to use the limited food to grow crops on the empty planet in search of a chance of survival. At the same time, the Earth side soon found out that Mark was alive, and they tried to deploy a rescue plan. Can Mark, alone, wait until the rescue team arrives?
The film is based on Andy Weir’s science fiction novel of the same name.
