In 19th century Cuba, local coffee tycoon Luis (played by Antonio Banderas) wants to marry a mail order bride. Louis had never met this American woman Julia (played by Angelina Jolie) before, and when he first met her at the dock, Julia’s beauty captured his heart. But he didn’t know that this beautiful bride was full of tricks.
The newlywed life made Louis extremely happy, and he thought that the happy days could continue like this forever. Louis discovered that his wife was not as innocent as he had imagined. Julia is hiding a series of lies, all with the ultimate goal of Louis’ immense wealth.
