Synopsis of the Namiya Jieya Grocery Store
One night in 2012, Atsuya (Ryosuke Yamada), Shita (Kuro Murakami) and Kohei (Hiroichiro), who grew up in an orphanage, rob a female entrepreneur and flee to hide in a long-closed grocery store after their car breaks down. The shop, Namiya Grocery Store, used to be run by Yuji Namiya (Toshiyuki Nishida), a funny, kindly old man who decades ago helped children solve their problems as a joke, and then became so famous that people came to him for advice on life’s problems.
Originally from 1980 should be silent shop, but after three people broke in to receive trouble advisory letter. Then Dun also and others found that these letters came from the distant past. Mysterious night, lost young people write to solve problems for others, their fate and this relief grocery store is closely linked together…
The film is based on the original work of the same name by popular Japanese mystery writer Keigo Higashino.
