Synopsis of a beautiful life
Jewish youth Guido (Roberto Bernini) meets a beautiful female teacher DORA (Nicoletta Braschi), he politely bows to DORA: “Good morning! Princess!” . After many ironic twists and turns, the day is fulfilled, the two people live a happy life together.
However, under the fascist regime, Guido and his son were forcibly sent to a Jewish concentration camp. Although DORA did not have Jewish ancestry, she went along resolutely and was separated from her husband and son in a concentration camp. The bright and cheerful Guido convints his son that it is just a game, and the prize is a big tank, and the son lives a happy, innocent life in the shadow of the Nazis. Despite the hardships and loneliness of life in the concentration camp, Guido still brought much happiness to others, and he took the opportunity to greet his wife on the Nazi radio: “Good morning! Princess!”
With the fascist regime about to fall and the Nazi concentration camps soon to receive their final clearance, how should Guido’s game for his son end? Will the family survive this dark age?
