Synopsis of the Joker
In the bleak, wet city of Gotham, the humble Arthur Frank (Joaquin Phoenix) earns his living playing the Joker. With the dependent mother suffering from mental illness, and Arthur deeply remember the mother’s teachings, no matter what kind of setbacks are laughed at life, but so let themselves bear a great deal of pressure, on the verge of collapse. He dreamed of becoming a stand-up comedian, but life threw disappointments on his head again and again. Not only that, he accidentally lost his job, and the chance glimpse of his mother’s secret kindled in his heart a longing for the father who was far from his position but never met. Fate is used to backfiring. In the empty subway, sad clowns kill in uncontrollable laughter…
