A brief introduction to the Wave
Reiner Vogel (Jurgen Vogel) is a teacher at a high school in Germany, where the theme “State System” is being held. Because his favorite “anarchism” class had been beaten to it by another teacher, he had to teach “dictatorship.”
For the free-spirited students, any class is just for the credits. They were talking loudly in class, not listening. Venger came up with an experiment to imagine a “dictatorship.” During the week-long experiment, Venger was placed in a position of supremacy and the students were expected to obey him completely.
Based on true events, the film won the 2008 German Film Award for Outstanding Feature Film and Best Supporting Actor (Frederick Lau).
