Synopsis of Amelie the Angel
Emily (Audrey Tautou) had what others would call an unhappy childhood – when her father gave her a health check, he found her heartbeat was too fast, and concluded that she had a heart attack, and Emily was isolated from school. Then, because of an accident, her mother suddenly died in front of her eyes. None of this has affected Emily’s open-minded optimism about life.
In 1997, the death of Princess Diana made her feel lonely and vulnerable in life, Emily began a series of help programs, including the elderly neighbor who is autistic and depressed, the vegetable stall man who is mean by the boss, the old landlord who has lost his childhood objects, and the coffee shop colleague who is frustrated in love. But she never expected, adult video store clerk Nino (Mathieu Kassovitz), has become her tricky object, Emily began a funny alternative plan…
