A brief synopsis of Number One Player
The story takes place in 2045, virtual reality technology has penetrated into every corner of human life. James Halliday (Mark Rylance is acted the role of) built a virtual reality game world called “Oasis”, before dying, he announced that he set an egg in the game, find this egg can become the heir of the oasis. To find this egg, you must first obtain three keys, and the clue to find the key is hidden in James’s past.
Wade (Tye Sheridan), Aige (Lena Waithe), Daito (Akira Morizaki) and Osu (Chiu Ka Zheng) are friends in the game, and along with Artemis (Olivia Cooke), whom they meet later in the game, Five people embark on a journey to hunt for eggs. What they are up against is a big capitalist named Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn).
