Eddie (Tom Hardy) is a popular news reporter who has been in love with his girlfriend Annie (Michelle Williams) for many years and is very close to each other. Annie is a lawyer who takes on the case of the Life Foundation, and in his girlfriend’s mailbox, Eddie discovers the untold secret of the foundation’s boss, Drake (Riz Ahmed). As a result, Eddie not only lost his job, but also lost his girlfriend.
After that, Dr. DORA (Jenny Slate) of the Life Foundation seeks out Eddie, hoping that he can help her stop Drake’s insane crimes. At the Life Foundation lab, Eddie finds evidence that Drake was experimenting on humans and was accidentally possessed by the alien life form Venom. Back home, Eddie and Venom form a symbiotic relationship as they deal with wave after wave of killers sent by Drake.
