Synopsis of Resident Evil
Embrera, a company that researches biological and chemical weapons for the military, has a huge research center – Honeycomb under Raccoon City, due to an accident that can leak biological and chemical weapons through the air, the computer system “Red Queen” responsible for Honeycomb security activated emergency measures, but hundreds of workers were killed… Four hours later, Hive security officer Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up at the hive exit, suffering from memory loss due to hypnotic gas. A special team assigned to shut down the Red Queen arrives and teams up with Alice, Anderson, who calls himself a police officer, and Parks, a Hive worker, to go underground. The party is attacked by security systems and zombies due to the conflict between their mission objectives and the Red Queen, and Alice’s gradually recovering memories reveal her unusual connection with her fellow travelers. How can this biochemical zombie crisis be resolved? Or is it a prelude to despair?
The film is the first in a series of films based on the popular video game Resident Evil.
