In Aomori Prefecture, which is under the rule of the American military, the teenagers Koki Fujisawa and Takuya Shirakawa both love their classmate Sasato Sauri. They all have Sakuri in their minds, and that thing – the Tsugaru Strait north of the border, the towering “tower” built by Japan’s Hokkaido Federation. The huge and mysterious tower is the yearning of three young girls, they agreed to build a small plane and fly to the tower to find out.
Sakuri, a junior in middle school, transferred to Tokyo. The two boys gave up their plans to build an airplane. Koji entered the high school in Tokyo, and Takuya continued to stay in Aomori’s high school, and each other went further and further on their respective roads.
However, many years later, Sakuri falls into a deep sleep in the hospital! This sudden illness brings the three together again. The sleeping sickness is mysteriously linked to the power of the tower, and the tower itself seems to have become a stronghold of the war between North and South Japan.
Three people involved in war and love, in the end is to save Saori, or save the world! The answer to fate seems to be on the other side of the cloud, where they once agreed.
