Synopsis of the Seagull Canteen
Finland is the closest European country to Japan, only ten hours away by plane. Yukihui (Kobayashi Satomi) runs a Japanese restaurant called “Seagull Canteen” in the picturesque capital of Helsinki alone, she hopes to retain the hearts of guests with simple but warm traditional hand rolls, but unfortunately, the restaurant is often empty. Later, Midori (Katayoki) and Masako (Maasako), for different reasons, came to help.
In addition, young handsome customers who are fans of Japanese culture, Finnish elderly women who stopped to point and watch but were later attracted by the smell of cinnamon rolls, middle-aged men who used to work there and cannot forget the original coffee machine, and middle-aged women who earnestly asked how to tie scarecrows to curse their husbands. These interesting and real people, around the Seagull canteen, formed a light friendship.
